Christmas Fun!

I've been on Christmas break for the last week or so. I still have this week off and I'll go back to work on January 3rd (my birthday). James was off work a couple days last week and this week so we got to spend some good family time together. I've loved spending so much time with Logan. It makes me sad to think that I have to go back to work. I hope one day I will get to be a stay at home mommy!

We made it to Peacock Lane this year with Sarah and Jacque. It was so cold but lots of fun! Maybe next year we can make it to Zoolights :)

For Christmas Eve we usually celebrate with my Dad's side of the family - they are out of town this year for Christmas so we celebrated a few nights early this year. We went over to their house and had dinner and they had gifts of Logan to open. He had so much fun! He got lots of fun toys, some clothes, and sheets!

Christmas Eve at Uncle Dave & Aunt Robin's!

On the real Christmas Eve we didn't do anything. The 3 of us just stayed at home (I think we might have went shopping) and just hung out :)

On Christmas morning James and I opened a couple gifts from each other. Then we did Skype with Betty and Lou and they got to watch Logan open some gifts! After that Logan was so tired. He took a nap and then I had to wake him up in order to be at my Mom's house by 11:00am! We opened gifts at my Mom's and then had a very yummy lunch! We came home and did some more gifts for Logan, including his stocking. And then Eric, Joanne, Dylan, and Uncle Ed came over for Christmas dinner. I cooked a ham from Costco (which was SO delicious)! Twice baked potatoes, deviled eggs, some corn, and dinner rolls. All the food was pretty good - except my potatoes didn't come out how I wanted them too and the deviled eggs were a little TOO salty.

I'm looking forward to next year when Logan can actually open his gifts and know what he's doing. He was able to rip and tear this year - but he mainly wanted to eat the wrap. James and I are having a hard time deciding how to give gifts to Logan - as a child all my presents under the tree on Christmas morning were from Santa. Where as James got to open all his gifts from mom and dad Xmas Eve and then Santa brought one big present Christmas morning. I guess we still have a few years before Logan even realizes who Santa is! It's just fun to think about though. I bought him some 18 month Christmas PJs today at Target that were on clearance. Crazy to think next year he will be so big!

I'm already starting to plan his 1st Birthday party! I can't wait :) I have most of the plates, napkins, etc. I want to get him a special shirt. I was thinking about ordering one off Etsy!

My favorite gift this year was a baby video monitor. What a life saver! I keep it by my bed at night and if I hear something or wake up, I can just look over and see him sleeping and know that he's okay in him bedroom - best feeling ever!

James and I are going to try and get back on track after we celebrate my birthday. I think I'm going to re-join Weight Watchers, because it's what helps me the most. I know I've tried like 3 times now and nothing is seeming to work. I need to be 100% ready this time, and I really hope I am able to do this. I'd like to be back to my goal weight by Logan's 1st birthday - which isn't until May. I think I can do it!
